Phillies survive and take 2-1 series lead

Sadly I can't blog about this too much right now because of a midterm, but last night's Phillies game was exciting (for better or worse) from start to finish.  J.A. was poor right out of the gate, but the offense and the bullpen put together enough support to get the team and huge W.  The Rockies battled hard all game and for most of it I wasn't sure if we could hold them off any longer. And wouldn't you know it, Mr. Unreliable himself, Brad Lidge came in and got the job done in typical, two walk fashion for the Phils.  Wins like this is extreme conditions are hard to come by and should give the Phillies an undeniable momentum swing for Game 4.

Can a series have any odder times attached to it? 2:30, 10, 6. I get the time difference and ratings and all, but the out-and-out pandering to the network schedule, football, etc. is ridiculous. You're either forced to watch in the middle of the day or the middle of the night and now - on your commute home. It's too bad that the majority of the fans missed last night's game because it was so late. It was a game with alot of suspense and drama and other than the fact that I think that TBS broadcast stinks - it was great game to watch. I hate how TBS continually shows the previous at bats each time the batter comes up. Is it me, or was anyone else getting momentarily confused as to replay or real time? Or maybe it's just because it was 2 am. It was annoying as hell.

Let's hope Lee dominates from start to finish. I too tired for a close game.

Can't wait to see Philly get bounced in the first round due to lack of pitching...or even better, experience their own late season collapse.

Oh well, another coupla hopes dashed for bitter Mets fans. Now, like their stadium, they'll have to adopt the Dodgers.
