We’re the Team to Beat is a Phillies vs. Mets blog that covers everything that emcompasses this renewed rivalry.  Mike ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) represents the Mets (in Blue ink) in an all-out war for supremacy.  In recent years, this rivalry as taken new life and the teams have grown a great dislike for each other, repeatedly taking shots at each other through the media.

Were the Team to Beat!

This blog is the place to come for Phillies/Mets news, notes, stories and smack talk.  Jimmy Rollins started all of it with his now famous quote, “We’re the team to beat.”  After Beltran and now K-Rod respond with the same comment, we’ve decided to take the theme to another level and blog together to fight it out for who really is the team to beat.  From Flushing to Philly, there can only be one!

And there is only one

This rivalry is overblown, the Phillies have dominated while the Mets have choked every step of the way and in every big game they have played. Jose Reyes is the most over rated player in all of MLB, and the rest of the staff is usually hurt or blaming someone else while they cry(Billy Wagner) that it's not their fault. This year will be like the others, Beltran hitting homeruns in games that are blowouts and choking when the game is on the line, even worse is being forced to listen to Keith Hernandez call the games, is there a worse broadcaster in baseball? Good luck Met fans, this year will be as futile as the previous ones.
