Where? Oh where have the commentors gone?

Attention blog readers! What the heck is going on?  We had some good momentum going, some good banter, some good arguing, some good chatter, and then what?  We move to a new place and everyone disappears?  I'm confused so help me out.  Is the commenting system broken (it has been fixed since my last post saying it was messed up)?  Please, we'd love some feedback!  Thanks.

It is pretty strange Mike. Working on this end but sometimes after you write your comment when you try to post, it tells you you're not logged in, even though your name is listed. So you have to log in and retype everything and it can be a pain in the ass. It's happened to me a couple of times and sometimes it's just not worth it to retype.

It could just be end of summer - phils winning/mets losing - what more is there to say? Or everyone's moved onto football?? Either way - it's weird.

I did promise back when there were comments here that I'd stop by and point out when the Phils clinched the better record over the Mets for the 2000s and I think we've passed that point. If the Mets win the rest of their games and the Phils lose out, the Phils would have one more win for the century/millenium/decade.

So now, for the decades that both teams existed you have:

Phils: better record in the 60s, 70s, and 2000s.

Mets: better record in the 80s and 90s.

As for the lack of comments, it does seem the Mets fans are disheartened and the rivalry needs two to tango.

I thought the Cole Hamels comments this week might have stirred people up but they didn't even seem to register on Metsblog's radar, which seems a little more sensitive to such things than this place.

Try copying & pasting the comment...

philliephan, that same thing has happened to me on some of the other Bloguin sites. There must be some sort of "time out" on the web page that we're not told about.

When that happens, the best thing to do is copy your comment (just hit ctrl-a and then ctrl-c) and refresh the page. I'm pretty sure you don't need to actually re-login. Once you refresh the page, you can just paste your comment back into the box and then hit submit. It's a whole lot better than re-typing the whole thing (especially if you forgot what you were saying exactly).

thanks lar - I have done that a couple of times, but if I forget and log in before I copy - it wipes it out. No biggie - I look out for it now, so I'm prepared!

Shitty loss for the Phils tonight, especially after coming from behind and finally putting up some runs. Lights out Lidge looked like anything but ... walks the bases loaded and then gives up the shot to Kaz. Nothing more deflating than a walk-off.

Oh well, guess you can't win 'em all ...
